Focusing on obsession, one of the key symptoms of separation anxiety, this work uniquely explores psychological themes by blending pop art’s vibrant color palette with iconic characters from popular culture. Familiar figures like Betty Boop and The Simpsons add elements of humor and irony to the composition, while simultaneously giving visual  depth to the psychological intensity of obsession. Through the language of mass culture, the work aims to expand personal emotions and inner struggles into a broader, more relatable narrative. Additionally, the use of objects and vivid colors provides a sensorial and original aesthetic experience. The retro objects featured in the artwork evoke nostalgia and romanticized memories of the past, while also symbolizing the manic state, where past and present intertwine in a disorienting mental flux. The intricate details and ornate decorations within these objects visually represent the racing thoughts and scattered focus characteristic of mania. Beyond serving as mere vintage elements, these retro items function as metaphors for the psychological turmoil of modern individuals, capturing t he restless wandering of the contemporary mind.
